Hyptidendron pulcherrimum Antar & Harley, sp. nov. (Hyptidinae, Lamiaceae), a new narrowly endemic species from Minas Gerais, Brazil

Hyptidendron Harley, one of the 19 genera recognized for subtribe Hyptidinae, has some its species with a narrow campos rupestres (a Brazilian vegetational formation) distribution, often restricted to single mountain range. We report new species, pulcherrimum Antar & sp. nov., endemic in Serra do Padre Ângelo, disjunct area from where angiosperm have been recently described. The is unique due morphological combination flowers arranged dichasial cymes, indumentum composed curved, rigid, broad-based hairs, leaves petiolate, glabrescent and bullate, corolla tomentose, tube 7.5-10 mm long slightly winged nutlet per fruiting calyx. compared vauthieri (Briq.)
